I know people who love this place and I know people who hate it. For me it's just in the middle. The last time I was there I had the bratwurst. It was average. We make better brats at home when we cook Johnsonville brats. I also had a milkshake, which seemed thin. I do like that they cover the food item with a piece of tissue, which they staple to the tray so it doesn't blow away. I'll have to try other food items because there must be something on the menu that makes people love them. The problem is, they're a little on the slow side, so deciding on a day that I feel like waiting for food that may not be great doesn't always seem ideal.

I've been going here all my life and not once have I been let down on their amazing food. Nice little stop to have some chilli dogs and cheese fries outside in nice weather with a refreshing Green River.

Great local fast food location that specializes in hotdogs, italian beefs and more. Reasonable prices with a drive through and ample parking. There are also bench seating out in front outside. This is a must stop if you are in Kankakee County!

Went here for the first time and was surprised with how good it was and affordable. Don't expect to eat inside as there is no inside dinning. You order at the window and eat at a picnic table. Worth the visit. Wish I was closer to ear there more

For a fast food joint that's probably one of the better places in town to eat. Children always like it if you take them there and you eat outside at the picnic tables at 10 to have fun feeding the birds that hang around.

I highly recommend checking them out. At both locations all I have to say is yum and it fits in your budget if you're on a budget try to eat all their favorites you can't go wrong👍💟💪💯😄

Root beer was very good, the sauce dog was on a great soft steamed bun, sauce was a unique sweet meat sauce, had mine with cheese and onions. Enjoyed it all very much. I was visiting my nephew and he told me they have quite a following and after my experience I see why. If you haven't tried it you should.

I don't even know where to start, Jaenickes takes all my money because I willingly give it to them, literally they have a nice parking lot, a drivethru, and outdoor seating, and their food actually slaps! What more could you ask for?

Yummy chilly dogs

Food is great and quick. Love it that they have jalapeños for the hot dogs instead of sport peppers. The fried pickles are great also and something different.

Delicious hot dogs. Great service. I had the chili cheese and onion dog. So good. They give you a ton of fries.

Neat outdoor drive in style restaurant. They have outdoor seating only if you want to sit and eat. They also have a drive through if your preference is to order and go. The food is great, lots of variety from hotdogs to sandwiches. The root beer is the star of the restaurant though. Very tasty you can tell some time was put into it.

Good food. Chili isn't what you would expect. It is sweet like bbq sauce or sloppy joe sauce. It is good and makes the food better. The dog is like a gas station hot dog the chili and cheese definitely make it taste better. Fries are very thin like steak and shake. Bbq beef sandwich is basically a sloppy joe but good.the price is super cheap. Under $8 for what i ordered and I had trouble finishing it.

Everything on the menue is great. You can never go wrong here.

Outstanding! The chili dog sauce is on point, the beef and cheese sandwich, wow. I will drive an hour to eat here. Great service, clean outside dining area.. in the shade. We loved it and will be back. Thank you for great food.

Jaenicke's Salt LickThe root beer is great! But I can't imagine how much salt is in it. This place used to be so great, now it just reminds me of high school cafeteria food. You used to get a good amount of chili with meat, but now they sling a teaspoon of oil and fat over an albino hot dog and pass it off as a "red hot with sauce." Long live Boz!

Redhots went up in price and got cheated a bit on the sause today. Kankakee location by the river is 5 star....fyi.

Best authentic cherry coke plus redhots and deep fried pickles. Local favorite. Not understood by Chicago style hot dog purists, but these are in their own class. I get them every single time I'm in town...

I love this place! All the food is fantastic! On a cool windy day you may have to eat in your car since there is no inside eating. Sit by the big bush it blocks the wind pretty well

Adore the chili cheese fries/hot dogs and mini corn dogs! Green river is always a most to get. The Italian beef really is not that good at all. Would recommend going else where for this.

Very fast in completing orders. Only issue is NO BURGERS🤔BUT have Chicago Hot Dogs with all the fixing, Great onion rings, delicious. Outside sitting only, spaced well, Hakf are in direct sun, but comfortable. Great long menu to choose from.
